The full list, plus the two things that actually affect how your wallpaper looks.
Wallpaper size questions get more complicated answers than they need. Here is the short version: match your phone's resolution if you can, go bigger if you cannot, and never go smaller. Phones scale images down cleanly and scale them up badly.

Android makers change panel sizes often, and many phones let you run the display at a lower resolution than the panel supports. If in doubt, use 1440 × 3120 – it is larger than almost everything and will scale down to fit.
Make your lock screen card — free Fill in a few boxes, save the image, set it as your wallpaper. Works on iPhone and Android. Nothing is stored, no sign-up.If the shape of your image does not match the shape of the screen, the phone crops it – and it crops from the centre outwards, which is exactly where your content is. Getting the ratio right matters far more than matching the resolution to the pixel.
Both iOS and Android zoom wallpapers slightly by default when you set them. On iPhone you pinch to fit during setup. On Android, choosing “lock screen only” avoids the parallax crop that home screen wallpapers get. Either way, keep anything important away from the outer edges.
A lock screen is not a blank canvas. Roughly:
Android clocks tend to be larger and sit lower than iPhone ones, so the safe band starts further down.
PNG for anything with text, because it stays sharp. JPEG is fine for photographs but softens fine lettering.
On phones with OLED screens, darker wallpapers use slightly less power, because black pixels are simply switched off. The difference is small but real, and dark wallpapers also make white text easier to read.
Usually yes. The aspect ratios are close enough that a 1290 × 2796 image looks fine on most Android phones, though the safe zone for text differs between the two.
